Description
Tandoori Masala Dosa is a vibrant and flavorful variation of the traditional South Indian dosa, infused with the aromatic spices typically found in tandoori dishes. This crispy, golden-brown crepe is filled with a spiced potato or vegetable mixture, marinated with tandoori masala, and cooked to perfection. The combination of the crunchy dosa and the spicy, smoky filling creates a delightful fusion that is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Preparation:
- Prepare the Dosa Batter:
- Soak the rice and urad dal separately. Drain, then blend them into a smooth batter with water. Ferment the batter overnight in a warm place.
- Prepare the Tandoori Filling:
- In a mixing bowl, combine boiled and mashed potatoes, chopped onions, green bell pepper, tandoori masala, yogurt, ginger, garlic, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Cook the Tandoori Masala Dosa:
- Heat a non-stick skillet or dosa pan over medium heat. Grease lightly with oil or ghee.
- Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it into a thin circle. Drizzle oil around the edges and on top.
- Cook until the bottom is golden brown, then place a portion of the tandoori filling on one half of the dosa. Fold the other half over and press gently.
