Description
Kadhai Paneer Dosa is a delicious and innovative take on the traditional South Indian dosa, inspired by the flavors of Kadhai Paneer, a popular North Indian dish. This unique dosa features a crispy exterior filled with a spicy and tangy paneer filling, prepared with vibrant bell peppers, onions, and a blend of aromatic spices, reminiscent of a Kadhai-style curry. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, Kadhai Paneer Dosa brings together the best of both worlds in a single dish!
Preparation:
- Prepare the Dosa Batter:
- Soak the rice and urad dal separately. Drain and blend them into a smooth batter with water. Ferment the batter overnight in a warm place.
- Prepare the Kadhai Paneer Filling:
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook until fragrant.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
- Add bell peppers, Kadhai masala, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for a few more minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Add the cubed paneer and mix well. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the paneer to absorb the flavors. Garnish with fresh coriander.
- Cook the Kadhai Paneer Dosa:
- Heat a non-stick skillet or dosa pan over medium heat. Grease lightly with oil or ghee.
- Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it into a thin circle. Drizzle oil around the edges and on top.
- Cook until the bottom is golden brown, then place a portion of the Kadhai paneer filling on one half of the dosa. Fold the other half over and press gently.
